Cancer Side Effects | Cancer Signs And Symptoms

Signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer often do not appear until later stages of the disease. And even after the typical symptoms are not extreme enough to suspect a condition of such magnitude, unless a woman has a genetic predisposition for it. However, women still must be made aware of ovarian cancer. Maybe if I go to the doctor immediately, as they are realizing that their bodies go wrong, they could increase their chances of survival, even if this increase is very slight.

So, what are the most common signs of ovarian cancer? Ironically, most of them will be in the abdominal area. In fact, one of the most infamous sign is swelling of the abdominal region. This is the swelling is due to increased production of fluid that occurs in response to ovarian tumors are developing, not fat. However, as bloating is most often associated with weight gain a sign of ovarian cancer, many women do not think anything of it. But if the swelling is accompanied by other abdominal symptoms such as indigestion, abdominal pain or bowel changes, a woman should get herself to detect the disease.

Then there are the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer involving the reproductive region. For example, a woman can have painful intercourse despite being adequately aroused and lubricated. Women who have undergone menopause may have unexplained bleeding after menopause. And if a woman is not menopause, may have bleeding between periods. Of course, menopausal women may be more alarmed by vaginal bleeding, so they would be asked to go to the doctor. However, pre-menopausal women may think their bleeding is wild hormones rather than a sign of cancer.
